Brutal Legend Beta

During a gig for Kabbage Boy, Eddie is crushed by falling scenery while trying to save a member of the band; his blood lands on his belt buckle, in reality an amulet for Ormagöden. The stage is transformed into Ormagöden, who kills the band and takes the unconscious Eddie to the heavy metal world. Awaking in the Temple of Ormagöden, Eddie meets with Ophelia while fighting Doviculus' forces, developing a crush on her. They discover writings left by the Titans that Eddie is able to comprehend, and build a hot-rod, the "Deuce", that they use to escape the Temple and travel to Bladehenge, the base for the small human resistance force led by Lars and Lita. When they meet Eddie and learn he can understand the Titans' messages, they see him as a prophetical "Chosen One", though unsure if he will be the savior or destroyer of the world. Ophelia also becomes concerned when Eddie, in the heat of battle, transforms into a winged creature, an effect Eddie decides to use to his advantage at the time.
Eddie helps Lars, Lita, and Ophelia create an army, named "Ironheade" to fight against General Lionwhyte. They successfully raid Lionwhyte's "Pleasure Tower" and defeat him. However, as they celebrate, Doviculus arrives, sending the group into hiding. Doviculus is aware of the presence of his spy "Succoria" by the smell of her blood as it was at the Temple; Eddie and his allies come to believe Ophelia is Doviculus' spy. Lars leaves his hiding spot to face Doviculus, but is quickly killed. As Doviculus causes the tower to tear itself apart, Ironheade escapes into the nearby mountains; Eddie is forced to leave with Lita leaving Ophelia behind despite their shared love. Heartbroken, Ophelia drowns herself in the Sea of Black Tears, and is transformed into the leader of the goth "Drowning Doom". After three months, she leads an attack on Ironheade's mountain camp. Though Ironheade defeats the assault, Eddie determines they must destroy the Sea to end her threat. As they travel through exotic lands and finding more allies out of the pyromanical Fire Barons and the amazonian Zaulia tribe, they come across evidence of Eddie's father, the hero known as Riggnarok in this time. It tells that Riggnarok traveled to the future to attempt to learn the secrets of the Titans to bring back to the past in the humans' ongoing fight against the demons, but never returned.
With their new allies, Ironheade manages to push the Drowning Doom back towards the Sea of Black Tears; defeated, Ophelia denies Eddie's belief that she is Doviculus' spy, again claiming that Eddie's the traitor. As they argue, Doviculus arrives and confirms that Succoria is not Ophelia, but Eddie's mother. In the past, Succoria, an even more vicious demon empress, also sought the Titans' secrets in the future, but discovering that humankind eventually prevailed, fell into despair. Riggnarok, who had followed Succoria through time to assassinate her, took pity on her in her despair, and the two fell in love and bore Eddie. Now in the past, Eddie's demon nature has borne out, and also has inadvertently revealed the Titans' secrets to Doviculus as well, and has allowed him to create a powerful army to overrun the humans. Having no more use for Ophelia, Doviculus rips out her heart, taking her powers alongside his own and causing Ophelia to dissipate. While Ironheade battles Doviculus' forces, Eddie engages Doviculus in a one-on-one confrontation, which ends with the demon emperor's decapitation. As Eddie escapes the Sea, he recovers Ophelia's heart from Doviculus, containing his mother's necklace he gave her when they first met, and then proceeds to rescue the real Ophelia from the ocean floor. Ashore, they rekindle their love as Ironheade celebrates their victory over Doviculus and the Tainted Coil. Back at Bladehenge, a statue to Lars is erected, while Lita continues to lead the troops against the remaining demons. Eddie insists on maintaining his "roadie" presence, staying behind the scenes and making others look good. After he promises he is not leaving to his assembled friends, Eddie takes off to complete a few errands, with Ophelia watching as he drives off into the sunset, shedding a single black tear.

Escaping The Dark Horror

Derek, a typical security guard at a warehouse, was driving
home from work one foggy night. The fog itself is impenetrable and cold
on this long torpid winding road. Suddenly, out of no where, a masked
figure with a long black robe appeared out of no where. Swerving off the
road to avoid hitting it, Derek veered down an embankment striking a
tree and fell unconscious.
Derek later awoke still in the pitch blackness of the night trying to
piece together what had just happened and if he was even alive. He looks
around trying to get an ideal of where he is but the fog is so dense.
He feels around and finds a flash light in the glove compartment. Derek
opens the door and climbs out to asses the damages of his vehicle as
well as to see how far off the road he veered from. He’s screwed! His
entire front end of his car is completely wrecked from the crash and
will not start, let alone turn on. But Shhhh… In the mist of the dense
fog is a horrifying growl; but from what beast? His heart skips beats in
terror.

It’s getting closer and louder. It sounds hungry or angry. Derek can
hear from a small distance leaves ruffling and can tell that this beast
is no small animal. Quickly he makes a run for it in the opposing
direction of the growl hoping to escape it. He thinks to himself, could
this be the same thing he saw on the road before he crashed? He knew he
didn’t want to stop and find out.

Running, for what seemed like forever, he makes it out of the woods and
onto an open field and stops running. then fire rises around him
blocking his every direction.then the grim reaper appears out of no
where in front of him.

Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine

The game's plot line involves the Forge World Graia (a planet devoted to military production) that has been invaded by alien Orks. The game follows three of the Ultramarines, 2nd Company Commander and playable character Captain Titus, his immediate subordinate Sergeant Sidonus, and a relatively inexperienced and by-the-book Marine named Leandros.
From the injured Imperial Inquisitor Drogan they learn of a weapon that can wipe out the Orks, but which needs a power source that is located in a reactor below the Manufactorum. Titus retrieves it and activates the PsychicScourge, but the Orks are not killed. Instead a Warp gate to the psychic realm of Chaos is opened, unleashing several daemons that massacre the surrounding Orks. Moments later, the Chaos Lord Nemeroth emerges from the portal. Using his Warp powers, he subdues the Space Marine squad as Inquisitor Drogan arrives via lift and approaches Nemeroth, revealing his allegiance to the Chaos Lord. It is then revealed that Drogan was killed at some point prior to meeting Titus and his corpse was possessed and used by Nemeroth as a sleeper agent. Titus gathers enough strength to grab the Power Source, which had been ejected from the Scourge, and Nemeroth is ambushed by Grimskull, the Ork Warboss in charge of their invasion of Graia, allowing the SpaceMarines to escape.
The Scourge having opened a growing Warp portal around the Orbital Spire, allowing Chaos forces to pour in, Titus forms a plan to destroy the portal and the Spire by using one of the Titans they had secured earlier. The Titan Invictus is superpowered up by the Power Source, and destroys the Spire. However, Sergeant Sidonus is killed by Lord Nemeroth, and the Power Source is stolen and taken to the floating remains of the Spire.
Titus then leads an attack through the remaining Chaos forces to stop Lord Nemeroth from performing a ritual to ascend to the status of a Daemon Prince using the power of the device. Nemeroth has partially ascended to Daemonhood when Titus faces him; both are knocked off the spire in the struggle, and the Captain defeats him in single combat while falling towards the ground. He then breaks the experimental device in half with his hands. Titus survives the exposure to the raw Warp energy again, and is rescued by a Thunderhawk dropship before he can impact the ground.
The end scene of the game involves a new Imperial Inquisitor by the name of Thrax, accompanied by Leandros and escorted by several Black Templar Space Marines, who arrest Titus. Leandros believes that his Captain has been corrupted by Chaos, based on his resistance to warp forces. Titus denies accusations of heresy, but is willing to find the cause of his resistance, and voluntarily goes with Inquisitor Thrax. Before leaving the planet, Titus chastises Leandros for his singleminded following of Codex Astartes, and his inability to see past it and think for himself - something Titus believes is the true test of a Space Marine. A computerised report for the Imperium records show that the threat on Graia has been contained. The planet is under quarantine by order of Inquisitor Thrax, and Captain Titus is under formal investigation by the Inquisition on charges of heresy.

Aliens Colonial Marines

Described as a true sequel to James Cameron's film, the story of Aliens: Colonial Marines takes place after the events of the second film, Aliens. At PAX East 2012, Gearbox Software's Community Manager confirmed that the game is considered an official part of the Alien franchise's canon by 20th Century Fox. Much of the main plot was written by Battlestar Galactica writers Bradley Thompson and David Weddle. The story is told through the eyes of Corporal Christopher Winter, a Colonial Marine who is part of a search and rescue team sent to investigate the U.S.S. Sulaco in search of Ellen Ripley, Corporal Dwayne Hicks, and the rest of the missing marines who were dispatched to LV-426. The Sulaco, and the derelict alien spacecraft from Aliens as well as LV-426 itself will all serve as environments in the game, as well as other locations yet to be detailed.
Gearbox has stated that they were invited to speak with Ridley Scott and view the script for his Alien prequelPrometheus, insinuating that there may be connections or references to the events of Prometheus in Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Oddworld Abe's Oddysee

Abe's Oddysee begins with the titular protagonist as a prisoner in RuptureFarms, from which point he narrates his story. He and many other Mudokons have been slaves all their life to Molluck the Glukkon, who owns RuptureFarms, which is known as the biggest meat-processing plant on Oddworld. Abe is a contented floor-waxer First Class and currently Employee of the Year.
RuptureFarms is undergoing difficulties: the ingredients of their three major products: Scrab Cakes, Paramite Pies, and Meech Munchies, are quickly running out, with the Meeches already extinct. While working late one night, Abe chances upon the Board Room, where the various Glukkons are discussing their dilemma. After reviewing the situation, Molluck announces his plan to use the Mudokon slaves as new meat products called "Mudokon Pops!", frightening Abe into a resolution of escaping from the factory.
Abe proceeds to elude the authorities and escape from RuptureFarms; immediately out, Abe sees a large moon in the sky, with its face in the shape of a Mudokon handprint, signifying the Mudokons as the "chosen people". Abe suddenly falls down a cliff, smashing his head; as he lies on the ground, BigFace appears before him in a vision. BigFace sends Abe towards his quest: to rescue his enslaved brethren and "restore the lost land". He cannot accomplish this feat without first completing the spiritual trials of the Monsaic Lines and Mudokon temples. Abe journeys into the Monsaic Lines, from where he travels to the forests of Paramonia and the deserts of Scrabania. In each land, Abe completes the tests of the respective temple; after each one, BigFace gives Abe hand scars, one representing the Paramites and one representing the Scrabs. Once Abe has both scars, he can become the Shrykull, an all-powerful demigod creature. The Shrykull stands outside life as a dualistic god, of creation and destruction, and of fear and love.
With this divine power, Abe returns to RuptureFarms, rescues his Mudokon brethren and manages to find the switch to turn off most of the power to the factory. At this point, Mullock finds out what happened and decides to flood the entire factory with poisonous gas in a last-ditch attempt to do away with Abe, who eventually finds himself in the Board Room and chants to invoke the Shrykull to eliminate the Glukkons there before pulling a switch to turn off the gas, only afterwards, he is surprised, captured, and bound. It is at this point that he first appears in captivity at the start of the game. As Molluck enters the prison cell and prepares to drop Abe into a meat grinder, BigFace holds a meeting with freed Mudokons at the Monsaic Sanctum.
Here, there are two endings. The good ending is triggered by the player rescuing at least 50 Mudokon slaves throughout the game, sees the Mudokons resolve to save Abe, and sees them chant together and invoke a powerful lightning bolt upon Molluck's pointy head. With Molluck incapacitated, BigFace teleports to Abe, frees him, and teleports him out to a cheering crowd. Should Abe have failed to rescue at least 50 Mudokons throughout the game, the bad ending is invoked, wherein the few freed Mudokon slaves refuse to give aid to him. Molluck is given free rein to release Abe into a meat grinder, where he is instantly killed. Subsequent games and media treat the good ending as canonical.

Duke Nukem Forever

The game takes place about twelve years after the events of Duke Nukem 3D. Duke is now a worldwide icon, and has achieved great fame from his heroic deeds. After sampling a video game based on his past heroics (the game Duke plays is a revamped version of the final level of the third episode of Duke Nukem 3D), he arrives on the set of a talk show for an interview. On his way to the show, Duke witnesses a news broadcast on a nearby television screen announcing that aliens have once again invaded. Unlike previous encounters, the aliens initially appear peaceful and at first seem to pose no harm to the humans of Earth. Duke's talk show appearance is cancelled to allow television stations to cover the alien invasion, and he retires to the "Duke Cave".
There, he receives a call from the President and General Graves of the Earth Defence Force (EDF). The president orders him not to harm the invaders, and adds that he is in diplomatic talks with the alien overlord. Duke obliges this request, but remains uneasy about the whole situation. However, before he can leave his chambers, he is attacked by hostile aliens. Duke is forced to disobey the president's orders and fight his way through the alien hordes in an effort to save Earth. Whilst fighting through his casino, Duke witnesses the aliens abducting women including his two live-in pop star girlfriends. Graves tells Duke that the women are being held in the Duke Dome, and that the aliens have a vendetta to settle with Duke. He also warns Duke that the aliens are using the Hoover Dam to power a wormhole so more aliens can come through. Nukem travels to the Duke Dome, using a wrecking ball to damage the building to gain access. Inside, he finds swarms of Octabrains and the missing women, who have been impregnated with alien spawn; Duke's girlfriends die after giving "birth" to alien babies. Duke finds the Alien Queen in control of the Dome and kills her, but is wounded in the process and blacks out.
After regaining consciousness, Duke fights Pigcops and aliens in through the Duke Burger. Soon he travels to the Hoover Dam in his monster truck; after battling through the dam, he finds his old friend Dylan, mortally wounded. He tells Duke that the Cycloid Emperor is at the dam, and that the only way to shut down the portal is to completely destroy the dam. Before dying, he gives Duke his demolition charges and wishes him luck. Duke places the explosives and destroys the dam, but the currents nearly drown him. Duke is revived after an EDF soldier performs CPR on him; he awakens to find the portal gone. The President, who was also at the dam, rages at Duke for ruining his plans to work with the Cycloid Emperor and that he has ordered a nuclear strike at the site of the dam to wipe out the remaining aliens, intending to leave Duke there to die. However, the Cycloid Emperor emerges and kills the President and his security detail. Duke kills the Cycloid Emperor and is rescued by Graves just as the nuclear bomb explodes.
The game ends with a satellite surveying the detonation area and listing Duke Nukem as killed in action, to which Duke replies off-screen, "What kind of shit ending is that? I ain't dead. I'm coming back for more!" A short scene after the ending credits depicts a press conference, where Duke announces his intent to run for the President of the United States.

Cargo The Quest For Gravity

On a strange land where gravity has been lost, where even continents begin to float. We discover that robots calling themselves gods have grown tired of Humanity, and removed gravity from the world to cause them to die. To replace Humans, these gods created the Buddies, small, naked, and incredibly stupid creatures that don't need gravity.

The only hope comes with the discovery of FUN, a magical component, generated by Buddies while they are being entertained, that restores gravity to the world.

The hero, a young girl named Flawkes, must make her way through the continent by building contraptions with junk found throughout the archipelago, be it either by land, sea or air, Flawkes must solve the mystery of FUN and bring gravity back to the world if she hopes to save Humanity from destruction.

The young engineer enters the archipelago by accident, when a cargo delivery for the Gods goes awry by buddies shooting up into the sky to explode like fireworks. When these explosions collide with her airship, called the Hippo, Flawkes and her Captain are forced to make a crash landing and parts float down in all directions of the island.

Dead Space 3 SKIDROW

Dead Space 3 pits player character Isaac Clarke against the Necromorphs, human corpses reanimated by the signal of a Marker. The Resource Integration Gear (RIG) suit also returns, using holographic displays projected from the players' suit and weapons to display health and ammo count, respectively. In vacuum areas a timer will appear on the player's right shoulder, indicating how much oxygen that character has left before they suffocate.
In Dead Space 3, Isaac and newcomer Sergeant John Carver can roll and take cover to avoid attacks. This new ability was described by a Visceral Games developer as essential, as it "felt dumb/terrible not to have it" and that they have been "making Isaac more responsive," as they "want the horror to come from the terrible things that happen in the game; not from the horror that something is moving slowly towards you and you can't shoot it because the game controls like a piece of crap." The cover system is also described as "organic" in nature; for example, the player does not need to "walk up to certain tagged things and press the cover button; Isaac or Carver just does the action that is appropriate for the given situation."
Aside from returning Necromorphs, Dead Space 3 features a large cast of reanimated enemies. One example is the Waster, whose attacks change depending on how it is dismembered; while another is the Nexus, an insect-like giant that can crush or swallow people whole. Other obstacles in Dead Space 3 include a new human enemy, Unitologist soldiers; and environmental hazards like falling machinery and a giant mining drill.
